District Bloom in Schools 2020
During the summer term Sophie grew her own tomato plant with help from her family. Sophie’s mum sent in regular updates with photos of Sophie’s plant, her first flowers and fruits and the eventual height measurement and we entered these into the District Schools in Bloom 2020 competition in the fruit and vegetable ‘Garden Giants’ section. Sophie’s tomato plant grew to 144cm and produced 11 tomatoes.
We are delighted to announce that Sophie won the runner up prize in this section of the competition. Well done Sophie!!
