On Wednesday 4th November we all enjoyed a Festival Theme Day. Within our bubbles we planned and took part in a range of activities. Buttercups and Daisies enjoyed a Fairground Festival, enjoying playing Hoopla and a Coconut Shy. They also made candyfloss and popcorn. Poppies, Daffodils and Bluebells created a Notting Hill Carnival inspired festival, they created head-dresses, personalised tambourines and showed off their dance skills. Tulips, Adventurers and Sunflowers went to Rio Carnival for their festival, they made Stuffed Peppers, created ornate masks and demonstrated their conga skills. Upper Schools' festival involved creating a festival band, decorating their festival tents, immersing themselves in a Festival Sensory Story and creating festival costumes and props using their art skills.
It was a busy day that was rounded off with each classes interactive whiteboard acting as a big screen at a festival and a Zoom video showed everyone what was happening in each class. A great time was had by all and it was a perfect way to set us up for our new term's topics of Festivals (LMS and US) and Light and Dark (EYFS).
