Autism Accreditation

Watling View School is having an Autism Accreditation from the 9th -11th December where we are going to be assessed by the National Autistic Society. Over this three day period our knowledge of autism will be observed through interviews, teaching practice, room layout, and interaction with students, senior leadership and many other areas. Parents and Carers will also be asked to complete a survey prior to the visit.

This is an internationally recognised standard that confirms that the school provides a high level of consistent practice that benefits the learning and achievement of pupils and students who have an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The award means that families and Local Authorities can be confident about our provision because the high standard of good practice has been accredited by an external agency.
