• Monday 7 July 2025 Celebration Days 2025 It was lovely to be joined by parents and carers to celebrate our pupil's achievements throughout the year. Each child was presented with their own certificate and medal!
• Thursday 3 July 2025 Leavers Ceremony On Thursday 3rd July, we celebrated our leavers Fatimah & Bobby.
• Tuesday 1 July 2025 Lower/Middle School Sleepover Some of our Year 6-Year 9 students had a blast having a 'sleepover party' at school.
• Thursday 26 June 2025 Ice cream van visit Students absolutely loved today's special visit from the ice cream van and being able to choose themselves something yummy! A big thank you to the PSA for funding this.
• Tuesday 24 June 2025 Electric Umbrella's 'Shine A Light' Event Some students from every class were invited to attend Electric Umbrella's 'Shine a Light' concert at St Albans Cathedral. The students enjoyed a picnic in the park, before joining in with the concert - singing and dancing! It was great to share the space with so many other schools, we had a blast!
• Tuesday 24 June 2025 Pizza Making Experience Poppies and Dandelions classes had a fantastic time at Pizza Express, where they had fun making their own pizzas!
• Monday 23 June 2025 'Watling View Does Glastonbury' Week Watling View had the best time celebrating 'Glastonbury Week'!
• Friday 20 June 2025 'Read With Me' Sessions We welcomed families and carers to our library 'Read With Me' sessions over the past two weeks. It was great to demonstrate our exciting library and show how we promote reading in a variety of ways.
• Wednesday 18 June 2025 Woburn Safari Park Trip We all had an amazing day during our whole school trip to Woburn Safari Park. Pupils enjoyed seeing all the different animals & especially watching the sealion show & parrot training demonstration. They also enjoyed having a go on the large slide, along with taking a trip on the safari train!
• Wednesday 11 June 2025 Ofsted Inspection Following our recent visit from Ofsted, we are pleased to share our inspection report.
• Thursday 15 May 2025 Sports Morning On Thursday 15th May, we had our Sports Morning. All the students took part in a round robin of different activities with their classes, which included bubble and water balloon station, basketball, boccia skills, yoga and wheelbarrow races. They had a fabulous day, enjoying learning new skills and working as a team. It was lovely to see so many family and friends supporting the event.
• Wednesday 14 May 2025 Golf Festival A group of our Upper School students went to a Golf Festival at Woburn Golf Club, where they were running a golfing event for young people with disabilities. They had an amazing day, getting coaching from 2 tournament players, and then putting their skills to the test in a range of golf activities. They did amazingly well at representing our school. We could not have been more proud!
• Monday 12 May 2025 Mental Health Awareness Week
• Thursday 8 May 2025 VE Theme Day To mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War we held a special VE Theme Day. Pupils took part in a range of activities to learn about and experience a taste of that period in history, including; dancing to music from the 1940s, a black and white cinema, craft activities, an army obstacle course and making sandwiches for our ‘street party’ in the afternoon.
• Thursday 1 May 2025 Electric Umbrella Electric Umbrella came to visit us for a Singing Workshop. The students had a magical afternoon singing and dancing along to the songs, as well as playing instruments and taking a lead with the microphone.
• Thursday 3 April 2025 Easter Egg Hunt Pupils from all classes enjoyed an afternoon searching for Easter egg tokens on the playground, which they then exchanged for Easter eggs or bubbles!
• Wednesday 2 April 2025 Spring Performance This year’s Spring Performance ‘The Magic of Books' celebrated our pupil's love of reading and enjoyment of stories.
• Wednesday 26 March 2025 Easter Market Some of our students from Upper school worked on a stall at the St Albans Market selling items which they had made in their enterprise lessons, along with some yummy tray bakes and cupcakes which they baked in our Nourish to Flourish Café. The students got an opportunity to handle money and learn about selling items and also to practise their social skills by greeting customers. They made an amazing £284!

• Thursday 13 March 2025 County Dance Show - Alban Arena On 13th March, we took part in the County Dance Show at the Alban Arena.
• Wednesday 12 March 2025 Lower / Middle School Trip Pupils from Lower / Middle School enjoyed a fantastic day at Mead Open Farm. They had the chance to groom ponies, pet rabbits, explore the outdoor playground and soft play areas and especially enjoyed jumping on the inflatable pillows!
• Thursday 6 March 2025 Literacy Week & World Book Day The students have thrown themselves into Literacy Week activities!
• Wednesday 5 March 2025 Upper School Residential - Spring Last week, some of the students in Upper School went on a residential visit and stayed in the Sheringham Youth Hostel, Norfolk .
• Thursday 13 February 2025 Winter Sports Day Students have had the best day today taking part in all the fun activities arranged for their winter sports day!
• Friday 7 February 2025 Numeracy week This week was numeracy week. Our pupils had lots of fun with the following activities all based around numbers:

• Friday 20 December 2024 Christmas carols The whole school enjoyed a trip to St Bartholomew's church where we sang Christmas carols and some pupils and staff even danced along to their favourite festive songs!
• Thursday 19 December 2024 Christmas Show Watling View pupils put on a wonderful performance of it’s own Christmas Nativity. Yet again it truly was a highlight of the school calendar, well done to all of our talented pupils and supportive staff!
• Tuesday 17 December 2024 Christmas lunches On Tuesday and Wednesday, we enjoyed Christmas lunch in the hall.
