EYFS

The Early Years department consists of three classes, Buttercups, Daisies and Dandelions.  Teaching and Learning is delivered following the Early Years Foundation Curriculum.

The department will normally have pupils up until the end of Year 2 and supports the play based approach to learning and focuses on having a curriculum that gives each and every young person the best start to their education by providing awe and wonder through a carefully planned environment. Teachers carefully plan to enable all pupils to develop key skills in order to be successful learners such as early communication, focus and attention, independence, life and social skills and learning routines associated with being at school.  When pupils come into the EYFS Department the Family Liaison Advisor and teacher conduct a home visit as well as visiting the young person in their current setting.

Pupils in EYFS follow a three year rolling programme.  Please read the attached documents for further information.  If you have any questions about EYFS Curriculum please contact the school.
