We are delighted that Watling View School has been awarded the Autism Accreditation Award!

The National Autistic Society were particularly impressed by our following areas of strength:

    • The school offers a highly motivating, creative, inclusive and appropriate curriculum which maximises opportunities for social communication and interaction which enhances pupils' sense of belonging, enjoyment and well-being.
    • Watling View has a warm, relaxed and friendly community feel to it and pupils enjoy coming to school.  Families are appreciative of the work school has done to support them and to improve the quality of lives for them and their children.

  • FA Women's Cup Final

    Sat 05 May 2018
On Saturday the 5th May we went to Wembley to watch the FA Women's Cup Final, Chelsea vs Arsenal.    David, Cameron, Stuart, Stephan, Jack, Christopher, Annie and William met at school, where we got on the bus and drove to the stadium.  We then walked to the stadium, after waiting to get through security we final got in.  It was an incredible event, lots of cheering and shouting at the teams.  The students went to get food from the counters and enjoyed the great atmosphere.  The students were a credit to the school, fantastic behaviour and a delight to take to such an event.  Great fun was had by all.
  • SLD Football Festival

    Thu 03 May 2018

On Thursday the 3rd May we took part in the SLD schools football festival at the Harvesters Football Club in St Albans. Cameron, Christopher, Stuart, Jack, David, Annie and Zahra spent the morning practicing their football skills with the Watford Football Coaches and then played against the other schools in the afternoon. In the words of the pupils ....

'Did we come 5th........NO we didn't'

'Did we come 4th.......NO we didn't'

'Did we come 3rd.......NO we didn't'

'Did we come 2nd.......NO we didn't'

    'WE CAME 1st 😊'

For the first time in at least 8 years, we won the SLD Football Festival, we are so proud of the team, they worked really well together, each playing their part and taking their turns. They passed the ball to each other and took their turn in goal, this is why we won. An amazing day, great fun was had by all and winning the trophy was just the icing on the cake.
