  • Harvest Festival

    A big thank you to the many parents and carers who joined us for the Harvest Festival celebrations on 25th & 27th September.  " The theme of this year's Harvest Festival assembly was "Thanksgiving". Each student thought about one thing they are grateful for and put it on our Gratitude board. 

     

    We then celebrated with a traditional Morris dance display!! Lots of fun was had singing and dancing to the 'Dingle Dangle Scarecrow', 'Cotton Eye Joe' and 'She'll be coming round the mountain'. 

     

    Louise Asher  from the St Albans food bank spoke to the students and parents to say thank you for the food which had been donated."

  • Jeans for Genes

    On Friday 21st September the school raised money to support Jeans for Genes day.  Pupils wore their jeans, learnt about things to do with the colour blue and celebrated with a cake sale in the afternoon ran by pupils from the upper school.
  • Riverside Fishery, St Albans

    Earlier this month, students in Upper school were invited to a fishing trip at Riverside Fishery in St Albans for an event held by a the masonic Fishing Charity. All students caught plenty of fish including a 5 lb roach and enjoyed a wonderful BBQ by the water. We were joined by other local special schools and were awarded medals and a framed certificate.
  • Wembley - England vs Spain

    On Saturday the 8th September 2018, Christopher, Annie, David, Casper and Thomas Craig went to Wembley Stadium to watch England vs Spain.  Although England lost 2-1 it was a fantastic game and all of the students had great time.  They all bought themselves dinner from the takeaway outlets and enjoyed eating it while watching the game.
