• Winter Sports Day

  What a wonderful day we had today!

   

  A big thank you to all our family members for joining us for a whole day of fun wintery activities including ice-skating, ice hockey, snowball fights, winter experience, water polo and not forgetting a lovely cup of hot chocolate to warm ourselves up!

  

• Valentine's Disco

  Fri 15 Feb 2019

  We would like to invite all pupils and their families to our Valentine's Disco on Friday 15th February 7:00-8:30 pm held here at the school.

   

  Tickets are £5 per family and this includes light refreshments.  All proceeds are going towards fundraising for our new sensory room.  We will be selling a number of disco accessories on the night.  Tickets are available via the office.

   

  Please note that all pupils must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

• Tesco fundraising project

  We are back in Tesco's in March and April.  This time in the Hemel area.  PLEASE promote this as much as possible locally!

   

  Our project, along with two other local projects, will go forward to a vote in Tesco stores in Hemel Hempstead where customers will decide the outcome by voting for their favourite project each time they shop. Voting will take place from Friday 1st March 2019 to Tuesday 30th April 2019.

   

  The project with the highest number of votes across the region will receive £4,000, the second placed project £2,000, and the third placed project £1,000. Please ask for a blue coin every time you shop and vote for Watling View School.

• Chinese New Year Celebrations

  For Chinese New Year we explored Chinese music and dance.  We made paper dragons to complement our dance sessions as well as dressed up in lovely traditional outfits.  Some of us received lucky money in red envelopes to spend on wonderful treats!

  

• Numeracy Week

  This week was Numeracy Week for the whole school.  Our themes for each day were:

   

  Monday - Number Day

  Tuesday - Numbers all around us

  Wednesday - Money and Sales

  Thursday - Cooking and Measure

  Friday - Time, Distance and Shape

   

  Our pupils enjoyed lots of fun activities related to their learning including sessions with Dance Equation, cheer leading, bingo and a cake sale!
