  • Easter Assembly and Egg Hunt

    Thu 31 Mar 2022

This year we held department assemblies across the school where pupils learnt about the festival of Easter.

Afterwards they enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt outdoors where they searched for tokens which were then swapped for chocolate eggs.

We enjoyed a surprise visit from the Easter bunny and his friend chicken. There was even a beautiful daffodil in the garden!

  • Watling View Vision

    Wed 30 Mar 2022

Our end of spring term performance event was the Watlingvision Song Contest - a morning of music and dancing in the spirit of Eurovision!  Classes picked songs from different countries and performed for a live on-site audience of parents and carers. Others joined us remotely via Zoom.

This was an incredible event showcasing lots of talent.  Well done to everyone for their enthusiastic participation and to our winners in Daffodils!  A great time was had by all!

  • Shakespeare for Schools

    Tue 15 Mar 2022

A big thank you and well done to all staff and pupils for the wonderful performance. It was magical and great to see the pupils take a full and active role in the performance whether it was using a communication device, verbally declaring their love for Watford for all the audience to hear or taking part in the fight scenes. It was wonderful to have the pupils be so confident in front of the audience and own the stage as they did.

Thank you to all the audience as well who enjoyed the show and took a full and active role throughout.

  • World Book Day

    Thu 03 Mar 2022

For World Book Day we had our own theme day of 'Traditional Tales' within school to promote reading and books. We all enjoyed coming in dressed up in costumes based on our favourite characters from a traditional tale.

Some students enjoyed a multi-sensory story around a traditional Indian flood story, called 'Pattan's Pumpkin'. The students were immersed in a range of sensory experiences whilst in the environment of the sensory room, including feeling lots of rain, the smell of pumpkin and experiencing different colours related to storms and being inside a pumpkin.
