  • Gravely Fruit Farm

    Tue 20 Jun 2023

Lower Middle School and Early years had an amazing trip to Gravely Fruit Farm. We picked strawberries, played in the park and sand pit, jumped and ran across huge bouncy pillows and enjoyed a bumpy tractor ride! We were all blown away by beautiful site, the range of exciting activities and the lovely staff who made the day such a special experience for our pupils.

  • Carnival Celebrations

    Thu 15 Jun 2023

On Thursday 15th June, we held the Watling View Carnival. This was a colourful and joyous outdoor extravaganza that began with a BBQ lunch, before pupils spent the afternoon watching and performing dance routines in the playground while a live band played a mix of popular tunes. It was a really special occasion, and the live music elicited memorable responses from a number of our pupils.

  • Peace Garden

    Thu 15 Jun 2023

This week we have seen the exciting completion of our Peace Garden.

This has been a joint project with Manor Lodge School, who have been fundraising for the last two years, to gift us the money to be able to create this amazing space. Manor Lodge School have their own beautiful, restful Japanese garden that their students can access when they want time in a quiet, peaceful space and they approached our school, as in the same spirit they wanted to provide a 'place to be' for our students. Our 'place to be' has been created in a quiet area of the school behind the gym, two existing mature Lime trees provide shade, a habitat for wildlife and the sensory soothing effect of dappled light through the leaves. There are also some small fruit trees that we hope will create a miniature orchard, the grass will be left to grow long and wild flowers will attract butterflies. There is a tunnel and small wooden shelter, which provides a safe haven to rest in. The physical climbing equipment for our Peace Garden has been designed with our Upper School Students in mind, making sure that the equipment is suitable for adult and older teenage use.  This will enable our students to have the space and equipment they need to get themselves ready to learn, whilst also allowing them to move their bodies and stretch to improve their wellbeing.
