Chanukah themed day took place at Watling View on Tuesday 20th December where they learnt about the Jewish festival of light.
In the morning, the students enjoyed an assembly about the traditions of the festival and got to spin some dreidels, enjoy eating chocolate coins and watch the lighting of the menorah. During the day, each class got the opportunity to do dome cooking and make some delicious latkes and go into the gym where they painted onto canvas a picture of a dreidel or a star of David.
It was a fun filled day of multi-sensory learning enjoyed by all.
Everyone at Watling View celebrated Christmas at St Bartholomew Church for the first time since 2019! There was lots of festive singing in a lovely setting for Christmas.
This year’s Christmas Show was The Watling View 12 Days of Christmas - a unique and special celebration of life at Watling View School, with a festive twist. We were thrilled to be able to welcome a live audience in a packed hall, and we are very proud of the show-stopping performances put on by all of the pupils, who all rose to the occasion.
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff teams for the creativity and effort they put in to make the show a success. Time to start planning for next year!
Staff and pupils enjoyed a Christmas lunch together on Tuesday 14th or Wednesday 15th December.
The theme for the Christmas Lunch days was ‘Green and Red’ and the children were encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper for the day.
