  • Easter Egg Hunt

    Wed 27 Mar 2024

This year’s traditional Easter Egg Hunt was a bit different, as a nasty spell of wet and windy weather sent us crawling for cover. Plan B was an indoor event and pupils spent the afternoon searching for tokens around the school building which they could later trade for chocolate eggs and other prizes. Pupils were visited in class by a larger than life Easter Bunny, spring chicken and a giant daffodil – rumoured to have actually been staff members in fancy dress, but this claim is yet to be verified!

  • Spring Performance

    Tue 26 Mar 2024

This year’s Spring Performance was 'Musicals Through the Ages' – a show celebrating the history of musical theatre and cinema. Classes performed a range of classic songs and more modern hits, and the show was professionally held together and hosted by two of our Upper School pupils. Well done all classes and an especially big thank you and congratulations to Nathan and Casper for doing such a great job hosting!

  • Easter Market - Wednesday 20th March

    Thu 14 Mar 2024

Students in Upper School have been very busy this half term! Our Enterprise project this term was to prepare for and run an Easter/Spring stall in St Albans town centre. Discoverers, Voyagers and Explorers classes made some beautiful items to sell. They made Easter cards, egg baskets made from paper cups, Easter decorations, classic tray bakes, cupcakes, and chocolate creams.

Running the stall on the market, we had Evelyn, Nathan, Casper, Sam and Thomas. They had a super time and did a great job of selling their wonderful creations. A great time was had by all - even the Sun came out to say hello!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us!!

  • World Book Day

    Thu 07 Mar 2024

The students thoroughly enjoyed participating in a variety of activities for World Book Day, that were linked to our theme of 'Books turned into Musicals'. They:

    - were immersed in a 'Wizard of Oz' sensory story with Laura

    - had the opportunity to participate in a 'Mary Poppins - flying high' session in the Gym with Sally where they climbed apparatus and had lots of fun using the parachute

    - enjoyed participating in a dramatic Musical performance workshop with James and Miral

    - went 'Into the Woods' with Flow, exploring the sensory garden and used their imagination to make 'potions'

    - used their communication tools to make 'Matilda's chocolate cakes'

    - enjoyed a 'Technicolour Dreamcoat' Attention Autism and Art session

    - shared stories and Musical songs using Grid 3

We saw some fabulous outfits throughout the day too. It was a busy, but very successful day!
