Saxon completed subtraction sums up to 15, using counters to help. He needed prompting to use the counters initially, by counting out the whole number then taking away. He was then able to complete sums with minimal support.

David was able to recognise different healthy and unhealthy foods. Some adult prompting was needed to start, but once he was engaged he was able to sort most pictures with minimal support.

Samuel independently chose several paint sticks in different colours to have a go at colouring a monster during an arts and craft table activity. An adult supported him using 'hand over hand' strategy during his mark making progress & he held good attention and focused on the task.

Adventures class had an amazing time on their community visit to the temple ground. We fed the cows and had fun playing in the playground, going on different equipment.

Evelyn grasped the tools we were using for gardening & she independently carried on grasping them and enjoyed moving the soil around. She was reluctant to give the tools up when task was finished!

Maisie was asked to complete some colourful semantics sentences based on the story Rapunzel. She could confidently identify who was in the picture from a choice of 3, without support & was very engaged throughout.

Thomas was asked to pot up some baked beans in the cafe. He independently found the beans in the cupboard. When an adult asked him "what do we do now?", he said “open tin”. He was then asked "how do we put the beans into the plastic pots?" He was a little unsure at first, but when he was offered a spoon or a knife, he said “spoon”.

Beth was very engaged during a 'cook your own' session. She followed the instructions and chose to cut apples for an apple crumble. Beth was able to get the correct cooking equipment to make the apple crumble and engaged very well.
