Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Winter Sports Day this year was a little different from usual, but the staff and the students still had an amazing time, enjoying lots of different winter activities. These included tobogganing down the early years corridor, playing curling during their PE lesson and making melted snowman biscuits and hot chocolate at snack time. Students also had the opportunity to paint with coloured ice cubes and make their own sock snow men.
This week's Star of the Week assembly was held over Zoom. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our students achievements and hard work.
It was lovely to see so many of you!
Last week the whole school celebrated Numeracy Week 2021 to recognise the importance of maths in our everyday lives.
Over the course of the week, students took part in activities designed to challenge their thinking and develop their problem-solving skills within their own classes, in keeping with COVID safety protocols. Lots of fun was had and students had the opportunity to practice and consolidate maths skills through participating in races of all kinds, exploring fractions through pizza making, weights and measures through cookie baking, numbers through a range of games and a host of other exciting activities.
Parents were invited to a virtual parent workshop that focused on Developing Maths through Cooking and the week came to an energetic end with classes participating in a Number Songs Zoom Party dancing along to tunes like 'Mambo No5' and '5,6,7,8' by Steps.
